Disappointment And Manifesting
I said this to one of my middle school students this past school year. He was mad at me. For what reason I have absolutely no idea, so I nipped it in the bud, pretty succinctly and he got himself together.
I see so many people in this world, upset, discouraged and disappointed.
I've always heard that expectation leads to disappointment.
I wonder what it is they are expecting that is not present; knowing their disappointment comes from not meeting some sort of expectation for themselves or of others.
If you are expecting things to be a certain way, then you will be disappointed when it doesn't happen.
This is easy to apply to people. It's easy to learn to release disappointment with others. They are who they are and if you don't expect them to be anything else, you won't be disappointed.
Here's The Rub...
Well then...I say to the Universe, how am I supposed to take the steps I need to take, to meet up with what is coming to meet me, if I don't have some idea of where I'm headed; some sort of expectation?
I mean, really! We're supposed to take action to keep the momentum going, but how are we supposed to come up with the actions if we don't have an outcome in mind?
According to this train of thought, my outcome is going to create disappointment.
This is where the Universe comes back to tie it all up for me.
"Come up with an idea. Take action. Release the outcome. Then there will be no room for expectation."
Do what you know you need to do.
Know where you are headed.
Trust that the steps you are taking will get you to your highest and greatest good.
Trust that the Universe knows what this is and that it will never look exactly like you thought it should.
Then, you will never be disappointed.
Now that I think about it, that's pretty simple too.
