Prosperity Mindshift

CAN WE TALK?

I had a huge shift in my prosperity mindset this month and want to get real for a minute here...

I have a new job.  I am so blessed.  It totally fits, in every way imaginable.  And it's a "9-5, Monday-Friday" kind of deal.

A PERSONAL REVELATION

I had a revelation toward the end of last month.  I started developing my own business to not only follow my dreams, but as a means to fill in the financial gaps for the 4 to 5 months my work in education did not cover.

For nearly three years my  mind has been set on figuring out how to make this work, so I chose to look at my education work as my "bridge job"; the job that I would eventually be able to let go of once my own thing was bringing in what I needed.  Then, while totally engaged with helping my parents move, I had an epiphany.

I've been struggling because this mindset is limited and comes from coaches who walk away from corporate jobs with a fat savings account to help them set up their own thing.  If that's the bag of tools you have to work with, then, yes, the potential is there to recreate a full-time income, fairly quickly.

It's no wonder I've been spinning my wheels.

SURRENDER!

Once I surrendered this perspective, everything fell into place. (Here's the post from the blog, about how it all came together.)

I am a creative person.  How can I do what needs to be done when my mind is preoccupied with what I'm going to do when the day job goes on hiatus?

While I was waiting for my new job to start, I opened up my email and found this:

Support from two very successful women who feel the exact same way: business coach, Marie Forleo and actress, Bryce Dallas Howard.  This is a "grab a cup of tea and an apple" kind of video.  It's a little over 50 minutes, and also easy to listen to while doing other things.

I have just finished my first full week at my new job, with overtime.

When I got home Friday night, out of nowhere, the energy to try out a creative project I've been wanting to do for two months, just took over.

It's not perfect, and I already have plans to take it off and start over, but, it let's in the light, I don't have to look at my neighbor's house and I left clear spots so the cats can still look out the window.

THE MISSING PIECE

The last few years I've known that I needed a more traditional means of income, but struggled to determine what direction to head in, as so many "traditional" jobs burn me out quickly, due to the box I have to stay in.

I also had financial issues that I was still clearing up and so many "traditional" jobs check your credit before they hire you.  It's legal in the state of Ohio and forced me to steer clear of work I knew was not for me anyway.

Then this great little, entry level spot with a non-profit organization fell in my lap.  It's appealing, to me, like education was, because though it is structured, it's always changing and there is also a lot of room for creativity.

Plus, once I get my "sea legs", making room for my gifts will be so much more doable.

SO, I GOTTA ASK...

Do you have any thoughts that have been limiting your prosperity?

Take a moment, and make a list of what's working and what's not working.

Then surrender the whole thing with the intention that any shortsightedness be revealed when it's time.

This is the best way to let the Universe know you are ready for change.

Namaste,
